MUTTON-FAT WHITE JADE SNUFF BOTTLE, 18th Century This is Mutton-Fat White Jade Snuff Bottle of flattened, upright rectangular form tapering towards base with rounded, sloping shoulders, rounded neck, with a raised rectangular footing. The bottle has a grayish color throughout but shows mutts of white color resembling small round pieces of cotton. It also has some miniscule brown dots and a dark slash going across one of its sides. Undecorated, but, perfectly polished, and sporting a wonderful symmetry all around, and an even, near-flawless bright tone all throughout. Well-hollowed, with a very wide mouth, just like earlier bottles from the 17th and 18th centuries. It comes with an orange sapphire stopper with a metal collar. Its style is common of snuff bottles produced during the early 18^th^ century. . This outstanding bottle is in remarkable preserved condition.
