The bottle has a straight mouth, sloping shoulders, a vase form, an oval ring foot with character 'Shou" that stands for Longevity) incised on the bottom, and a jade stopper with a black collar. It is made with transparent glass, with clear luster and clean light. The shoulders and the bottle sides are covered with red glass. The ridges on both sides of the shoulders imitate bamboo joints, and the two sides of the bottle are oval and drop-shaped. The overall decoration is simple and unique, and the color matching is harmonious. This type of snuff bottle have the connotation of bringing good luck and good omens with them. An exactly shaped and decorated (red overlay) bottle was put on sale in the Yu Jen Auction house in Taipei, China, with an estimated price of $10,000 to $11,400.
