Very Fine, Extremely Rare, Double-Gourd Conglomerate Puddingstone Snuff Bottle This is a extremely rare (chances are that you will not find another double-gourd conglomerate puddingstone snuff bottle anywhere) Snuff Bottle made in the form of a Double-Gourd as the Chinese cloisonne bottles dating to the 18th century. Well-hollowed, a difficult chore on this type of bottles. The stone is made up of a conglomerate of sedimentary pebbles that appear as floating and striking irregular elongated brownish and grayish shapes amid a very unusual dark-green cementing matrix. These combinations of shapes and colors compliment the simple and tactile form of this bottle. It comes with a light brown agate stopper. This wonderful and unique bottle is in outstanding preserved condition. A bottle with similar material was sold at Christie's in July 2013 for $8,750.00. See photo #7 A similar shape snuff bottle was sold at Bonhams, New York , on 16 June 2016, for $6,875.
